Nami Nakagawa is most famous for her vocal work on the original NieR and the Demon Slayer anime series, but we find her versatility, being able to sing in Japanese folk, pop, and even “children” vocal styles and her relentless public service as a volunteer for various causes throughout to Japan to be even bigger reasons why we love to work with her so much.

Working on Indie Games
I like to help people. The more detailed the project, the more I think it has to be me. There is also the persistence of the people who make it. It is my pleasure to work with you to give shape to that commitment. Moreover, I am happier when it is for the benefit of others.
Favorite Kinds of Projects
I am very good at singing with different voices. I can also say that projects that require many different types of choruses within a single song, including my partner’s male chorus, are my specialty. In particular, layering large groups of singers, children’s voices, and ethnic choruses will make your song stand out!
Creative Philosophy
After the Demon Slayer insert song was released, the world was invaded by COVID-19. At that time, I received many messages from people who had lost their jobs, lost their income, and were hopeless and desperate, but were dissuaded from giving up hope by “Kamado Tanjiro no Eta,” which they heard as one of their last songs. I thought, “This is the kind of art I wanted to do.” Since then, my philosophy has been “to make people happy through art.”
What Makes Me Unique
I can sing alone, in chorus, opera, ethnic singing, or children’s voices. I can also arrange for a male chorus.

I am very grateful to my dear friend, Emi Evans, who also sings with me on NieR, for introducing me to Scarlet Moon. I am grateful to her. I am also grateful to Jayson from Scarlet Moon for being so good to me.
