Working on Indie Games
My favorite thing about indie game development is being more involved in production and learning more about the unique game worlds each project offers. I enjoy working more closely with the creators behind the project as it helps me write better music. This is usually not the case with bigger productions where we get to know very little about the project and are far removed from the creative process behind the game itself.
Favorite Kinds of Projects
I enjoy working with a variety of teams on any variety of genres. Every team has its own way of making their game, even within the same genre, so any style will still yield the possibility of new discoveries! We look forward to making these discoveries together.
Creative Philosophy
We create music that not many people would compose. That is, music that is both broken and emotional at the same time. If you’re looking for formulaic classical music, that’s not what you’ll get from me and my team!
What Makes Me Unique
I regularly play videogames of all kinds. It’s advantageous to be a fan and consumer of videogames when writing music for videogames. I’m looking forward to playing your game soon! A special Japanese analogy for you… if you don’t play Japanese pachinko machines, it’s hard to write music for them. I hear videogame fans outside of Japan love pachinko!
