In Talespinner, players take the role of a storyteller guiding a chosen hero through an ever-changing narrative shaped by their decisions and deck construction, journeying through bamboo forests, haunted villages, temples, and more while encountering the yokai of Japanese folklore. Frank van ’t Ende’s score moves between adventurous and contemplative moods to match the game’s shifting tone, anchored by its main theme, “Talespinner.”

“It was fantastic working with Flash Cat Games, and the artwork they’ve created for Talespinner was hugely inspiring,” notes Frank van ’t Ende. “It was a first for me to explore Japanese mythology through music, and I enjoyed developing a balance between the adventurous and contemplative moods using traditional instrumentation. I’m really proud of how the main theme, ‘Talespinner,’ turned out, and hope players find the music enjoyable in the game.”

“The soundtrack works great in the game, and working with Frank was pure pleasure,” adds the Flash Cat Games development team.
